Accommodation and food services are taxable entities. Our taxes for accommodation and food are as mentioned below.

 

Accommodation:

                Service Tax -- Published rack rate per room X 8.4% + 0.5% CESS on service tax amount

 

Food:

                Service Tax -- Published rate per item X 9.8% + 0.5% CESS on service tax amount

 

Even if the room rate is discounted  on the rack rate, as per government rules the service tax is to be calculated on published rack rate and not on discounted room rate.

 

We do not charge any luxury tax.
